ana brown
is a photographer & painter living and working in the Georgian
Bay area. Born in Montreal, Quebec, ana grew up in southern
Ontario. She later flew the coop and spent most of her twenties
bopping around the countryside from east coast to west coast. A
stint at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design expanded ana’s
comfort zone in the beautiful world of visual art & further
contributed to her growing, self-taught experience.
The open road has always called to ana and she has journeyed
abroad as well as throughout Canada and the United States. ana
has seen the world through a camera lens for over 20 years: her
love and inspiration lie in black & white photography, the
simplicity that mother earth has to offer, and the constant
struggles between man and nature. She began painting in 2000 and
has been overwhelmed by the freedom and serenity she discovers
there.
In the summer of 2008, ana opened the doors to Lost Dog Studio -
a studio and gallery - in the heart of downtown Collingwood. You
can find her there most Saturdays, lounging or creating with her
3 favorite boys (one husband and two dogs). |
